Job Description


Position Overview: 

We are seeking a Cybersecurity Specialist to work within a larger Project Execution team that is engaged in the implementation and service of Siemens control and automation equipment in power plants. Specifically, the Siemens T3000 Distributed Control Systems (DCS).  The Cybersecurity Specialist will provide subject matter expertise in the area of NERC CIP security to engineering, sales, and customers, and will perform security assessments and network hardening. 
This position will report to the Engineering Manager of T3000 control system implementation (for N. America) in Alpharetta, GA.

Responsibilities: 

This position is responsible for on-site security assessments, on-site hardening, on-site Security GAP Analysis, and proposals support.

• Perform vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, and NERC CIP auditing of our customer’s systems.
• Cyber Security procedures, documentation and checklist development. 
• Maintenance of Cyber Security documentation and procedures on SharePoint.
• Provide customer support regarding ICS-CERT Advisories. 
• Provide security support for our customer hotline.
• Setup and Testing of new security systems and software released by development. 
• Continuously improve the Assessment and analysis process.
• Participation in online educational webinars related to NERC CIP, Nessus Scanning SW, and other Cyber Security Webinars.  
• Support other Siemens personnel and customers as the subject matter expert.
• Provide informal training to customers and other Siemens personnel.


Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience:
•Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
•5 - 8 years of IT experience
• 3 - 5 years experience in information security/cybersecurity related to NERC CIP requirements.

Must be knowledgeable and experienced in:
• NECR CIP regulations.
• TCP/IP Networking.
• Cisco firewalls, routers, and advanced networking.
• OPC, and Matrikon products.
• Nessus Vulnerability Scanner.
• SolarWinds. 
• VA Report Generation. And ability to document 100+ pages.
• TFE Letters.
• Knowledge in System Software and patch management.
• Knowledge in TrendMicro Malware system.

Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience: 
• Security + Certification
• CISSP Certification.
• Knowledge of Siemens T3000 controls system is a plus.
