Holden Caulfield, age 16, is the protagonist in the novel, "The Catcher in the Rye",  by J.D. Salinger. He is a troublesome teen who attends Pencey Prep. in Agerstown, PA... well, he did. He has now been kicked out of three schools, and is on a three-day run in New York City, NY, days before he was suppose to be released from his school for winter vacation. Once he is kicked out of school, he avoids the truth that he has been kicked out and doesn't tell his parents or come home.
